The iron becomes a face. The yellow cleaning glove suggesting an emboldened and sparkling personality that defies sterotype of such humble domestic objects, as well as of the chador itself.
Exposure Project (one of my favorite photography blogs) says it best:
Shadi's portraits replace "the expected monotone of the black chador with vibrantly patterned fabrics, each portrait suggest[ing] a vivacious individuality and character, belying the limitations of stereotype. Similarly, the mundane objects, when transformed into faces, become highly poised and charismatic caricatures, embodying individual personalities."
I always woundered how other people see me during the day when I haven't slept well.
